Leak Testing
At Francy Precision, Inc., we build custom leak test systems using PLC-programmed dunk tanks paired with part-specific fixtures to ensure precise, consistent testing. Each fixture is tailored to the geometry of the part, providing a secure seal and accurate positioning during the dunk cycle. Using a programmable logic controller, we manage the sequence of clamping, dunking, pressure testing, and data collection to ensure repeatable and traceable results. This automated approach enhances reliability and reduces operator variability, making it ideal for high-volume applications.
To further enhance quality assurance, we integrate Keyence sensors into the system for real-time verification of part presence, correct loading, and seal engagement. These sensors allow the system to detect errors before the test cycle even begins, minimizing wasted time and scrap. Cincinnati seals are used to ensure a robust, leak-free seal between the fixture and part, even after repeated cycles. By combining intelligent automation with rugged, precision-built components, our leak test systems provide a dependable solution for maintaining tight tolerances and ensuring product integrity in critical applications.
